Just in time for the temperature to rise for the better the gates to the splash park were opened after minor repairs to a water main break that caused the initial shutdown.
Johnathan Strathdee with the Town of Strathmore noted the repair was quick and that it was actually repaired by the next day unfortunately they were not able to reopen right away.
"The water test took approximately four business days to complete. The Province requires water quality testing to ensure bacteria such as coliforms or E. coli did not enter into any of the pipes during the repair to ensure the safety of the Splash Park patrons."
Those tests have come back and with no issues, the splash park was reopened on Thursday.
