Wind warning that was issued on Wednesday, April 26 ended Thursday, April 27 at 4:30 am.

We are seeing some fantastic temperatures for the weekend in the forecast, however, heading into the weekend there is a chance we may see some rain or light snow with winds potentially reaching 90 km/hr tonight.

Strathmore and the surrounding area are under a wind warning with strong winds that may cause damage expected tonight,  along with the wind we may see some rain overnight on Wednesday into Thursday morning with the wind starting to taper off on Thursday.

The dip in temperature and potential rain appear to be short lived, looking at the long range forecast the area is heading back into the 20s for the weekend, feels like the right time to break out the shorts, sandals, and patio furniture this weekend!

The warm weather is great news for weekend activities being held around Strathmore including the parade of garage sales and the Customer Appreciation event at Peavy Mart with outside events being held on Saturday (April 29), details for this event and more can be found on the community events calendar at Strathmorenow.com.
