Our recent Classroom of the Month winners for January is Mrs. Neufelds Grade 1 class from Trinity Christian Academy have been waiting patiently for their pizza delivery scheduled to arrive on February 14th explained their teacher Mrs. Neufeld noting that ever since she told them they won they have been asking every day if it is time yet!
“They were very excited, they cheered and I was told to use the words great, awesome, and this is super when I talked to you because I told him you would be calling so they are very very excited.”
This year for many classrooms has been difficult at times but Mrs. Neufeld expressed how proud she was of her group, “They've been doing very well, even among all this COVID and schools closing for an extra week at Christmas. These kids are right on track. They work hard and I see them doing really well this year, so they're continuing to surprise me so many times.”
Seeing her students step up throughout the school year to support and help has been of the main highlights for Mrs. Neufeld this year, “Recently we've been doing a unit on citizenship and so to see how these kids can really step up and be citizens in our school and in our classroom and how they're not looking for the recognition for that, it's been just great to see some of these kids step up and be those natural citizens and leaders in the classroom and in the school.”
