The sunflowers are blooming out behind the Klaiber Historical Barn (former CPR Demonstratiom Supply Barn) on the south side of town.

Come out on August 21 and August 22 and take photos of the sunflowers in bloom and walk the fields with members of the Western District Historical Society.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the barn will be open to the general public from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Guests should bring their own camera and snap some photos in the sunflower fields.

“It’s going to be by donation. We’re going to have a donation bucket there, and we’ll be open for people to tour through,” explained Rhonda Stockwell, president of the Western District Historical Society.

The barn itself will be open to the public, so visitors can park and walk through the barn and over to the snowflower field, she said.

Don't forget to bring your own camera, and take part in a one-of-a-kind Strathmore event.

The Klaiber Historical Barn is located at 1001 East Pine Road.
