Today Town of Strathmore crews completed paving of a portion of West Ridge Road turning the road from gravel to a hard surface for motorists to use.

Kelcie Wilson, Infrastructure Project coordinator with the Town of Strathmore explained that the road is an important gateway into some of the westmost communities in the town.

“The gravel portion from the Highway 1 access to Wildflower Rd is a regular maintenance item for our team and dust from the road is a nuisance to residents. Paving up this portion of West Ridge Rd was included in the 2022 Capital Budget and work will be completed today.”

“The base of the road is well constructed, so paving can take place on top of the existing Rd, allowing all work to be completed in one day,” she said.
