Usually, going on holiday means that things are going to be easy and breezy, but for me, that was not the case.

Work ended on Friday and I had a week of holidays to attend to. So, my boyfriend and I grabbed the tent, hopped in the car and began our camping journey.

Now, let me just say, in my undisclosed amount of years on this earth, I have NEVER been allergic to anything. But, that next morning, I had an itchy, watery left eye and a stuffy nose. This went on for

A good fall was all I needed for this rash to go away. I think? about two days and I started to fear getting sick. But, eventually, after some allergy medication, my body got used to whatever it was out there in the wilderness that I was allergic to.

I thought the worst was over and I began truly enjoying my holiday until some pesky bug decided to bite me. I woke up the following morning with the biggest bug bite/ rash on my leg. I still have no idea what bit me, but it was out for blood.

At least I'll always know where I put the band-aid?We monitored the rash in the next coming days, which started to turn purple and grow in size. We were starting to get concerned but didn't want to face the hospitals just yet. I felt fine other than wanting to itch the rash.

Weirdly enough, I fell on some gravel and broke the skin on my elbow and leg, and the next day the rash was almost gone. I don't know what happened there, and I couldn't begin to even hypothesize why it went down that way but it did. Now, if you have made it this far, I have concluded that maybe the woods isn't the place for me and that I should probably invest in some more allergy medication.

Thankfully, the colder season is upon us and I won't feel so bad about staying inside!
