Students from Ms. Zandee’s 6A class from Wheatland Elementary participated in the Strathmore Lions Club Peace Poster Contest again this year and there were some amazing entries.  

The theme this year was 'We Are All Connected.’

“Mason McQuiggan demonstrated this theme was a unique expression of how interconnected we all are - possibly even to other life forms,” explained Zandee.  

“The 2nd place entry was Emma Broger with her ideas about how peace can be achieved in the world with many different ways of connecting to each other. Austin Thomas earned an Honourable Mention with his entry demonstrating how many of us stayed connected over the last 18 months in an attempt to cope with the isolation of the pandemic.”

The school has been participating in this contest for a few years now and is very proud of students for having empathy on these topics.
