Strathmore's Happy Cat Sanctuary presented to the town council during a regular council meeting on March 16. They provided a presentation on a memorandum of the funding agreement, asking the Town of Strathmore for $50,000.

Last year, the Town of Strathmore provided $36,500 to Happy Cat Sanctuary. In their report, the sanctuary lists that they rescued 560 cats in the past 3 years, 44 per cent of the cats rescued were from Strathmore, while the remaining cats were rescued in the surrounding counties. They proudly said that they were able to rehome 378 cats in that time period as well.

The total budgeted expenses for 2022 for the sanctuary is $128,900. According to their presentation, if they receive the $50,000 from the Town, the projected revenue for 2022 will be $126,000.
