Seasonable weather is starting to return to Strathmore, but with the warmer weather today is a wind warning.

A wind warning was issued for Strathmore, Siksika Nation and Wheatland County including Gleichen, Lyalta, Standard, Hussar and Carseland.

According to Environment Canada, residents should be advised that strong winds might cause damage.

Wind gusts out of the northwest are expected to be in excess of 90 km/h. Winds are expected to let up late this afternoon and into the evening.

Expect a few clouds this morning with a high of 11 C. Tonight a little rain, or flurries with the northwest wind gusting between 50 and 90 km/h. Then on Saturday a cloudy day with a little snow in the morning and a high of 1 C.
