The Alberta Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the last of six roundtables here in Strathmore today.

All chamber of commerce board members and executive directors were invited to attend the roundtable session on October 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is being held at the Strathmore Travelodge.

The agenda includes introductions by chairperson Bruce Galts, information on the Chamber Group Plan, general board rules and bylaws, information about the Chamber Connector App and Chamber and Economic Development.

“As the Strathmore and District Chamber of Commerce president I am thrilled,” said Wanda Reinholdt. “I am thrilled that the roundtable is coming to Strathmore. This is the first time to my knowledge and to our chamber’s knowledge that this has happened in Strathmore,” she said.

“It’s such a privilege to have Alberta Chamber of Commerce coming and Strathmore having the opportunity to host it, it’s a wonderful thing,” she said.

Reinholdt explained that the day is a good opportunity for directors to ask questions, get to know the Alberta Chamber of Commerce, to connect and network as well as understand some of the benefits of being a part of the chamber, like chamber insurance.

“Any member of the Chamber of Commerce in Alberta has the opportunity to have great insurance for their business and for themselves,” said Reinholdt.

“There’s definitely opportunity for networking,” she said.

“There’s conversation around how can chambers of commerce and local municipalities work together to develop economy and then there’s also advocacy, a conversation around advocacy and government,” said Reinholdt.

At the end of the session there will be roundtable discussions centred around what was learned throughout the day and a chance to ask questions,
