Chestermere RCMP have charged two people in relation to the theft of a Ford F350 Truck. On February 1, RCMP located a Ford F350 pick up truck that was stolen in Calgary. The truck was found in the Hawkmere area of Chestermere.
Police located three offenders in a nearby residence. After a negotiations the three occupants of the property surrendered to police along with another person who was found on the property.
Jonathon Bartram, 36 and Gaige Costello, 18, of Calgary were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, resisting arrest and mischief. Costello was also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for violating a community supervision order.
Both will appear in Strathmore Provincial Court on February 5.
"These arrests were made while engaged in local crime reduction initiatives which target active property criminals in our community. Detection, prevention, and deterrence of property crimes in our community is a priority for the Chestermere RCMP.” said S/Sgt. Mark Wielgosz.
