It’s anticipated that the new playground equipment at Gleichen will be installed in June 2019.

Wheatland County council revealed a series of milestones and timelines for the construction and installation of the playground equipment, during their county council meeting on February 5.

A request for proposals was created in January 2019. It will close on February 28.

County staff anticipate the contract will be awarded in March 2019.

Construction will likely take place in May, and the opening of the new playground in June.

The aim is for the playground equipment to be replaced and ready for use during the highest usage time in the summer.

County staff will inform the community, and the timelines and milestones will be posted on the county website.
