Not unlike most cities and towns, Strathmore has seen a jump in the number of gym memberships in the new year.  After indulging for the month of December most people are looking to improve their fitness.  Local gym Anytime Fitness was very busy and expected to be even more so with the introduction of multiple family members joining in a new trend at the gym.

Lexie Lee Bold a personal trainer at Any Time Fitness said," We see a lot of people setting goals for the new year and we have trainers and group fitness classes to make that happen.  When people start setting goals they set it for a short time rather than long-term goals because they don't realize the amount of effort and time it takes to realize those goal and most people lose a lot of weight just by changing their diet."

Memberships usually declines in April and May due to the option of people being able to workout outside.
