The outdoor rink beside the Strathmore agricultural grounds is set to open today. The flooding was completed this week and the ice is set and ready to go.

The rink is available to anyone who would like to use it and there are no charges associated with using the rink, there is also no set schedule or hours.

Strathmore Communications Ambassador Ty Tomasta said, " The delay in flooding was caused by unseasonal weather. We need consistent temperatures for a specific amount of hours or else we aren’t able to create ice. These unseasonal temperatures have hindered the ice creation process."

Tomasta went on to say. "The rink is use at your own risk. We always recommend personal protective equipment and proper supervision, and rink availability will completely weather dependent."
