On Tuesday March 12, the Royal Canadian Legion branch No. 10 in Strathmore elected a new executive that included a new president, first vice president, second vice president and treasurer.
“All great, fantastic, and wonderful news and all very very competent people,” according to the Legion’s Irene Knappe.
The new president is Denis Arnold, the first vice-president is Julien Boucher, the second vice-president is Basil Dwyer, and new treasurer is Kathie Earnshaw.
Knappe explained that initially, the Legion held their elections in November 2018. The positions were filled, but for personal reasons, in February three people resigned.
“Because of that of course we had to hold new elections and go according to Command bylaws,” she said. The first opportunity to do so was this week.
