Wheatland 4H District Communications Competition was held on March 9 at the Strathmore Civic Centre.
The 4-H club has always been a staple for youth in the rural community, throughout the year members will work with the farm animal of their choice raising and caring for them.
As well 4-H focuses heavily on teaching the members the importance of communication. Speaking in front of a group is one of the top fears in Canadian adults. Some 4-H alumni will often list communication skills as one of the biggest assets they acquired while in the 4-H program.

Junior presentations had Jenna Herriot coming in first, and Lucas Jordan in second place. The intermediate presentation awards were presented to Abby Van Egmond for first and Corbin Neal for second.
