Madonna La Belle from Vulcan has won $1 Million after cashing in on a Classic Gold instant win ticket!
In a release, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) says that La Belle’s husband is the one who had bought her the ticket when they were at the Mckay Lounge at the Canadian Natural Resources camp in Fort McKay. However, she didn’t scratch off the ticket until a few weeks later.
She had forgotten about the ticket and was ecstatic when she checked them.
“I played the ticket and looked at it and had myself a good cry,” she said in the release. “I screamed, ‘I think I won a million dollars!'”
La Belle said that she is going to use her winnings to pay off her debt and added she is going to retire.
