Chestermere RCMP has charged a male with several firearms offenses.
On Feb 18, RCMP got a call about someone who had discharged a shotgun into the front of a house in the Rainbow Falls neighbourhood in Chestermere.
Then on Feb 26, RCMP investigated and searched the home after getting a warrant. Emergency Response Team and Forensics Identification Unit assisted as well.
As a result of the search warrant, 19-year-old, Daniel Jones, a resident of Chestermere, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
- Careless use of a firearm.
- Mischief over $5000.
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
- Disguised with intent to commit the offense.
- Possession of a firearm when knowing its possession is prohibited.
Jones will be appearing in Strathmore court on Friday (March 1).
