The Agra Risk Wheatland Kings are doing their part to make sure the memory of Kristian Ayoungman stays alive in Strathmore.

Staff and players with the team took part in the Lead by Example Powwow on Sunday.

General Manager Cody Holdaway announced during the event that the club will be hosting a memorial alumni game for the former player.

Holdaway says it will be an amazing initiative to remind the public of the incredible life of the former player and champion powwow dancer.

"The number 11 has been raised to the rafters in the Family Centre and no one will ever wear that number again. Kristian is forever a King, and we want to do whatever we can to support his family and his legacy."

A date for the game has not yet been decided, but all proceeds will benefit the Kakato'si Kristian Ayoungman Foundation.

"We're still waiting for our regular season schedule, but we're hoping to slot something like this in by Christmas time," added Holdaway.

Any Kings alumni will be welcome to come to the game. Holdaway says if you're a former Kings player you can reach out to the team for further information.
