The body of a missing man who disappeared in Kinsmen Lake has been found.

Staff with Alberta RCMP told us he is a 31-year-old Strathmore man, and the body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Calgary for an autopsy.

According to Strathmore RCMP, on June 6 officers were called to Kinsmen Lake to a report of a man who was struggling in the lake and disappeared below the surface. Bystanders attempted to help him but were unsuccessful.

RCMP and Strathmore Fire Department worked together along with the assistance of divers but were not able to locate the man due to light and visibility issues.

Police say the death does not appear suspicious in nature.
