Two pipes to help repair five sections of pipeline in Calgary have now arrived all the way from San Diego.

According to the City of Calgary, repairs on the original feeder main break were finished on Monday night.

Staff with the city say the pipes are being sandblasted and are undergoing an application of epoxy which should be done in a few days.

The construction timeline to reduce water restrictions has now been moved up to July 5.

Because Strathmore gets its water from Calgary, the town has implemented Stage 4 outdoor water restrictions along with voluntary indoor restrictions.

Town staff say you can help do your part by shortening showers, turning off taps, reusing water and washing dishes with full loads.
