The 2024 Alberta budget shows that Chestermere will be getting a new school.

The news comes after The Government of Alberta announced the 2024 budget, which would set $2.1 billion aside to build and update schools across the province.

Chestermere will see a new K-9 Catholic school.

“Alberta is growing, and we are investing significantly in education to meet that growth. Communities across the province will see new and modernized schools for their students, providing them with the best learning places. I look forward to seeing all the schools we invest in move forward and open in the coming years.” Premier Danielle Smith said.

43 school projects will take place this year alone, and Brooks is also getting a new junior high school.
