Rookie forward Eric Castro is this week's Strathmore Motor Products King of the Week! Before joining the Kings in Strathmore, Castro played for the Chiefs in Strathmore.

Castro says one of his successes in his young Kings career has been playing at a fast pace and never slowing down.

"Just move my feet every game, keep them going, stay into the game, don't let my feet stop moving," he said.

As a forward, Castro is constantly on the offensive and focused on pushing the puck. While that could create pressure for some, Castro says he just focuses on his role so he doesn't feel additional pressure.

"I Focus on my job, what I have to get done in the game. The other players do their jobs, and hope it comes together at the end."

With the playoffs rapidly approaching, Castro says one of the ways the team can improve is to pick up their defensive game. Even though he's a forward Castro says he has a big role to play in this as well, as he says he and the team have to clean up in their zone, win battles, and avoid reckless plays or turnovers that put the defensemen in a bad position.

When he isn't busy with the Kings, Castro also enjoys snowboarding, as he says he enjoys "the cold activities." However, when he wants to warm up he says he enjoys building Lego, and has recently built the Starry Night set.

This weekend the Kings travel to Okotoks to face the Carstars Bisons on Friday night before hosting the Coaldale Copperheads on Sunday at 4:30 PM.
