Montana Fairbairn won a gold medal for artistic gymnastics.

She earned the gold medal at the Red Deer 2019 Canada Winter Games, with a score of 9.55/10.

Fairbairn’s main goal at the winter games was to get a medal with her team, and to do the best she could as an individual.

Fairbairn said, “It feels amazing, I’m so proud that all of my hard work finally paid off.” Fairbairn explained that she didn’t expect to earn a gold medal at the games. She said, “But then after the qualifying, I knew I could earn a gold medal.”

One of her favourite parts of the Canada Winter Games besides competing was the opening ceremonies.

Fairbairn will be in Montreal from March 7 to 10 to participate at the 2019 International Gymnix.
