The next step in the progression of construction on Westridge Road in Strathmore is coming.
Today beautification of the area will begin. This will include construction of sidewalks, pathways and landscaping elements.
The road will also be given a final lift of asphalt. The construction will cause partial lane closures on Westridge Road from May 16 – August 1.
Westridge Road is one of the main thoroughfares in the town of Strathmore. It runs parallels to traffic along the Trans-Canada Highway on the west side of the municipality.
According to the Town of Strathmore, it will create a visual gateway for Strathmore from the west. New lighting, signage and landscaping will showcase what Strathmore has to offer and encourage motorists to stop, while connecting pathways will increase accessibility for residents.
