The senior girl's basketball team start their road to the 3A provincial championships with a great 61 to 50 win against George McDougall from Airdrie. Head Coach Kyle Larson breaks down the final quarter in the win, "For the most part they played zone for most of the first half then they switched it up to man to man. Then they pressed us a little in the fourth quarter and the girls gave up a few and we steadied the ship and once we started breaking the press we actually started scoring."

The team has been getting consistently better, bouncing back after the winter break to continue their success. Larson talks about the great performances in last night's game, "Natalie Funk, definitely owned the glass and was fantastic at the foul line last night. Ashley McCreadie was spot on with her jump shot last night, and Sydney Edwards definitely controlled the pace of the game, she is our point guard and looked after the ball and had a great night."

The next game will be against Cochrane tonight at 7:15 p.m. in the SHS gym, come on down and cheer them on.
