The Strathmore and area snowfall warning has ended but the chilly weather will continue.

Tonight, there is a forecasted low of -16 C and -21 C on Wednesday night. 

Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, Samantha Mauti, explained there is a cold front sweeping across the province from the north. 

"There is a very cold Arctic air mass that is causing the very cold temperatures in Alberta and it is going to be this cold for the rest of the week. "

Mauti added that well the days are chillier than average for the time of year, some models are showing a return to more seasonal weather.

The average high for the area in October is about 11 C with a low of -1 C.
