122 Golfers showed up for the latest scramble at the Strathmore Golf Club over the weekend.  The lowest score of the event was obtained by Warren Sandbeck and Ryan Ledene with 12 under par.  Mathew Link, Assitant General Manager talked about the scramble format, "Both players will tee off at any given hole.  Out of their two tee shots, you take the best out of the two.  After that, you take your second shot and you continue that process of taking the shot that gives you the best opportunity until the ball is holed out."

The conditions for the match was pretty good until the 16th hole when they had to call a stoppage of play due to weather.  Link comments on the lucky nature of that break, "When most of the groups had about two holes left we had to call a stop to play due to lightning.  Everyone came off the course for about 20 minutes in between and it is a good thing we did because one of our trees on the 18th hole was struck by lightning."

The Strathmore Golf Club has the men's windup next with 128 golfers expected to play.
