The Strathmore Stampede is coming up this weekend, and you may be wondering what you can or can't bring to the grounds. Bag checks will be done upon entering, and to make sure you can enter stress-free find out what is or isn't ok below:

Cigarettes, Vapes, Marijuana

Smoking and vaping is allowed at the Stampede, but only in designated smoking areas. However, Marijuana is not permitted.

Pets

While the Stampede loves their pets and understands you may want to bring one to enjoy the fun, no animals are allowed on the grounds unless they are a service animal.

"We already have enough horses, bulls, and cattle on the grounds and don’t want to spook them in any way," the Strathmore Ag Society's website says.

Weapons

All weapons are banned from the Stampede grounds, including pocket knives. Be sure to check your pockets before leaving for the Strathmore Stampede in case you're carrying a knife you forgot about. This also includes things like mace.

Food and drinks

You're allowed to pack a meal for your family, and any non-alcoholic drinks are allowed on the grounds. Any alcoholic drinks will be confiscated during the bag checks

Miscellaneous items

Any items that can help you beat the heat are welcomed and encouraged. This includes things like sunscreen, umbrellas, and more.
