The Wheatland Crisis Society's (WCS) Traveling Cream Can donation project is still going strong.

Donations are a large part of the heartbeat of the WCS), the staff and volunteers work year round with businesses and the community and others agencies trying to raise funds to support the WCS.

September sees The Real Estate REPs Group Remax First team taking over the Traveling Cream Can.  Hayley Poirier a REP's group realtor says, "Our slogan is love where you live, we like to get out in our community and make sure that we are working with different groups to support where we live." WCS says this has proven to be a vital program that helped raise $7800 during the 2016-2017 season, and to date, this fundraising initiative has raised over $100,000 for the WCS.

The Real Estate Reps Group has set up the can and raffle prize at Assist Business Center, it will be there for the month of September. They are holding a raffle for a cedar bench love seat and outdoor living package.  Tickets are one 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 and can be purchased through any of the team members, Hayley Poirier, Michelle Eldjarnson, Christa Aleman, Carey Rose or at the Assist Business Center from September 1st to September 28th.

WCS works closely with the community and local businesses to encourage all to get involved and support each other. If you are interested in getting involved with this and other programs through WCS all information can be found on their website. http://strathmoreshelter.com/
