Today is Burgers to Beat MS Day and if you visit the Strathmore A & W's and purchase a Teen Burger, $2 from that purchase will be going to support MS Research in Canada.

About 12 Canadians on average are diagnosed with MS every day. Since 2008, A & W's has raised over $17 million to support Canadians living with MS.

Strathmore A & W’s Ramon Mistica explained that the local restaurant began their campaign on July 18th and it will run until close today.

So far, the day has been steady he said but they will start to get busy with sales near the lunch hour.

In total, Mistica says this year’s national goal is to raise $1.5 million for MS Research.

“We started taking donations last month and our goal was $45 per day to include in the $1.5 million.

This year is the 14th annual campaign held in partnership with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
