Just recently, Alberta was named to National Geographic's "25 breathtaking places and experiences for 2023".
The province has been included in the publication's yearly list of the "Best of the World" tourist destinations.
The top 25 breathtaking locations and activities are broken down into five different categories for 2023, nature, adventure, community, family and culture.
In the article, it states, "experience how long-held traditions and contemporary perspectives intersect, with Indigenous tourism outfitters in Alberta, Canada."
Alberta being named to the community category is joined by places from all over the world which include:
- Dodecanese Islands
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Laos
- Ghana
