If you’ve surfed the web on social media in Strathmore, then you’ve probably seen photographs taken by Florence Nadiadra.

The Strathmore area photographer has seen interest in her landscape photography grow in the last year on social media.

Now she is working to become a professional. We spoke with Nadiadra about what she loves about photography -- she revealed she has a cache of over 10,000 images of the Strathmore region.

Nadiadra is inspired by the nature she sees around her.

“Nature inspires me when I look at the sunrise, the sunset, birds, mountains, and rivers. I feel I should do something to let everybody know that God created the world so beautifully,” she said.

She has always wanted to be a professional photographer.

"Since my childhood, I was inspired to take photographs but I had no camera in those days. I saw my big brother doing it when I was a child in India,” she added.

"I always dreamed that one day I would be a photographer.”

One of her first cameras, when she came to Canada, was a Sony. Now, she takes beautiful landscape images of the community of Strathmore and posts them on the I Love Strathmore Facebook page.

Her desire is to grow her photography portfolio since she came to Strathmore.

“I’m trying to highlight Strathmore’s beauty.”

She revealed that she takes between 300 to 400 photos of the community every day.
