As many were training and getting ready for the 2020 Rodeo season the World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) has made the difficult decision to postpone four events this year.

Grande Prairie Stompede and Guy Weadick Days in High River, Saskatoon World Chuckwagon Races, and Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede were the events that were scheduled to be postponed.

After this decision was made the organizers in Grande Prairie and High River announced they would be canceling their events, while the WPCA is still in talks with Saskatoon and Medicine Hat to work on rescheduling their postponed events.

In a release, the WPCA says the health and safety of their horses and humans is their number one priority. Tough decisions need to made to maintain their high standards and with the impact of COVID-19 still unknown the WPCA had to make the decision.
