There is an ongoing incident in the City of Calgary's downtown core that might affect your commute.
According to the Calgary Police Services Facebook, there is a 'person experiencing a mental health crisis' and some major roads are closed.
"We know this incident has significantly impacted access to the downtown core & we thank you for your patience & understanding as we continue to work to bring a safe resolution for a person experiencing a mental health crisis," it stated on the Facebook page.
Calgary Police Services asks the public to avoid the area and to plan alternate routes to allow emergency crews to have the space to work.
Reconciliation Bridge,4th Avenue flyover, and 5th Avenue flyover will be closed which will affect both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
