A new program has been announced to better serve residents of Chestermere during emergency situations.

It's called Community Connect and allows you to provide critical information about your house that will assist first responders when they receive a call for help.

According to city staff, the platform will help save lives.

You can give information like how many people live in the houser, the mobility of residents and how many pets are in the home.

Chestermere Fire Chief Jamie Coutts says, "We are always looking for ways to better serve the citizens of the City of Chestermere. For this reason, we are rolling out a new program to protect our residents and their property in the most effective way possible."
