The Hope Bridges Society has been selected as one of the top five community organizations in Alberta. In April people in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba could nominate organizations that help grow their communities to win one of the $25 000 prizes through the “Growing Home with BASF” contest.

Nominations were judged based BASF’s values of building safe and healthy communities; diversity, equity and inclusion; and/or developing future leaders in agriculture.

Hope Bridges Society coordinator Janice Littlefair expresses that Hope Bridges is really overwhelmed and grateful that they were nominated by members of the community.

"What we do is important and that our mission of creating a completely inclusive community is important. To get to a stage of top five in all of Alberta has been very overwhelming and we were not expecting it at all."

After they were nominated, Hope Bridges had to submit their organization's statements, pictures, logos and a two-minute video. The video will be sent out by BASF on their Twitter account.
