Fatal collision kills 1 and injures another South of Strathmore

Friday evening Strathmore RCMP was dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 901 and Hwy 22x, east of Carseland. 

At least two vehicles are involved, there are serious injuries reported. A head-on collision has killed one motorist and injured another,  a woman in her 40s was airlifted to a Calgary hospital by STARS in critical but stable condition.

AHS EMS confirmed that one person was declared dead on the scene, the age and gender of the deceased was not known

RCMP asks that motorists avoid the area while emergency crews respond.
