Last night (March 21), we received more snow, which is expected to continue throughout the rest of today and into the weekend.

If you are driving today, here's what you can expect road conditions to be like:

  • The Trans-Canada Highway between Strathmore and Calgary is, for the most part, clear.
  • Highway 24 is also mainly clear.
  • Highway 817 heading south out of town is clear, but northbound is still partially covered in snow and ice.
  • Heading towards Langdon, Highway 797 is still partially covered as well.

Most roads in Calgary are still partially covered in snow and ice, including major routes such as:

  • 16th Avenue
  • Deerfoot Trail
  • Stoney Trail
  • Crowchild Trail
  • Macleod Trail
  • Sarcee Trail

Road conditions are subject to change at any point throughout today and the weekend as more snow is anticipated in the weather forecast.

It is still advised to use caution while on the roads today, as snow removal crews will be out on the road.
