Strathmore and the surrounding area are under a heat warning for the next 3-5 days.

With daytime highs of 29°C forecasted for today and tomorrow, and highs of 30°C or more forecasted for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Environment Canada advises people to take these precautions if you're out in the heat:

  • Consider rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler hours of the day.

  • Check for your children or pets before you exit your vehicle. Do not leave any person or pet inside a closed vehicle, for any length of time.
