April 9th will be a day that George Cross and Katelyn Iwaszkiw will never forget as they look forward to living “worry-free” after winning big on the LOTTO 649 Guaranteed Prize Draw.
Using the Lotto Spot app the couple discovered they had won big, and they said they had to check the ticket about 15 times before it really sunk in that they had won.
"I freaked out," Cross recalled. "I was ’woo-ing' a lot."
"He lost his voice within 25 minutes," laughed Iwaszkiw. "He had a vein on his forehead we've never seen before."
The happy winners have a few plans for their windfall. "We'd like to invest some of it and might take a trip to Mexico in the near future."

They purchased their winning ticket at Kimmer Country Market located at 708 Centre Street North in Langdon on April 8. It matched winning Guaranteed Prize Draw number 24107997-01.
