Strathmore residents Mary and Kevin McNamée are $250,000 richer after they won the December 29 Extra Draw.

The McNamées purchased their lucky $6 Lotto Max and Extra ticket from the Shell at 310 Ridge Road in Strathmore.

The couple typically purchases Lotto Max and Extra tickets twice a week.

When they checked their tickets on the Lotto Spot app, they weren't prepared to see the number of zeros that flashed across their screen.

“We are so excited. It is a dream come true,” the couple said.

The couple immediately shared the exciting news with their sons. They have a lot of plans for their big win.

“The first thing we are doing is paying off our mortgage and truck. Then we might build a new deck—it's just so wonderful!” the couple said.

The McNamées won their prize by matching the last six digits of the Extra numbers drawn on December 29, which were 2 6 0 1 8 2 9.
