It’s just a stone’s throw away. It’s getting warmer outside and closer to summertime and with it the kick-off to the Strathmore Stampede. One of the iconic ways to tell the rodeo is almost here is the celebration of the news Stampede poster each year.

Kate Dubois, Events Coordinator, Strathmore & District Agricultural Society explains, “With this year’s poster we did want to continue to focus on the family aspect that we offer at the Strathmore Stampede by including the child.”

The poster was created by Terry Nash. It shows what it looks like a young child learning how to rope from an older cowboy.

Officially the poster was unveiled during the Ag. Society’s Volunteer Appreciation Dinner last year at the end of the Stampede.

Dubois says “It’s always an exciting time when we get to unveil the poster for each Strathmore Stampede. As soon as we unveil the poster for the following year, prepping begins so it’s great to give our fans a sneak peek into what’s to come.”

All of the excitement and the pageantry of the 2022 Strathmore Stampede will take place on the weekend of July 29th to August 1.
