Conservative Members of Parliament say Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has failed once again, following what they call a 'near-cancellation' of soybean trade with China.

In a Party release, they say media reports show Canada-China soybean trade has plunged some 95 per cent since December.

In addition, the Conservatives say reports show Chinese authorities have ramped up inspections on Canadian soy.

They say any assertion by the Chinese government Canada produces anything but high quality soy is false and baseless.

The Party says if elected under the leadership of Andrew Scheer, they will launch a World Trade Organization (WTO) complaint against China, appoint a Canadian Ambassador to China, and pull funding from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
