On June 22 at around 11:37 a.m, Brooks RCMP received a report of an unresponsive female in an apartment complex in Brooks. Unfortunately, the RCMP arrived to find that 30 year old Tamara Debbie Soosay was deceased.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit were called in to investigate. As a result of their investigation, RCMP have arrested and charged Mat Bangoang Choap (35) of Brooks with second degree murder.
Choap has been remanded in custody with his next appearance set for June 27, 2022 at Medicine Hat Provincial Court.
