It was cool day when both teams took the field.  The visiting Rundle College team started their warm-up, and as predicted the quarterback was hitting all his targets.  It was clear that the Spartan's defense had their work cut out for them.

The local boys were up to the challenge from the start, causing a fumble, and then a run for six points. After hitting the field goal post.    After that, it was all defense on both sides of the field.  The Spartan defense played great, stoping Rundle College Cobras, giving up less than 100 yards and no points.   The Spartan's offense turned the ball over 11 times, which lead to a Rundle touchdown, but the extra point was blocked.

Head Coach for the Spartans said, " The game was decided with the Spartans kicking the ball into the end zone with 20 seconds remaining and being rewarded a rouge to go up 7-6. It’s always nice to get a win, and our team showed a lot of grit by completing a game like this tonight."

The final score would be 7 - 6 for the Strathmore Spartans.  The Spartans will work on the offensive fundamentals to help strengthen their offensive strategy.

Their next home game is this Friday as they welcome W.H. Croxford at  4 p.m.
