Yesterday (March 10), a collision occurred on the 817 South of Strathmore at Township Road 232.

Strathmore RCMP said there was a two-vehicle collision that occurred between the southbound pickup truck and what appears to be a westbound minivan at 1:47 P.M.

"As a result of the collision, the occupants of the van where all parties involved were injured. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries, but the occupants of the van were more seriously injured. One of them needed to be airlifted by air by Stars Air Ambulance to the hospital," explained Strathmore RCMP staff sergeant, Mark Wielgosz.

Wielgosz did say that all of the people who were injured are doing well and their injuries are not life-threatening at this time.

The crash was affecting traffic flow in both directions at the time. As of 5:30 p.m. last night, the highway has been reopened to one-lane alternate traffic.
