What better way to enjoy the start of summer, than a visit to the Lions Splash Park in Strathmore. June 1st is the official opening day for the splash park, which is located at the South West end of Kinsmen Park near Holy Cross Collegiate.

Geoff Person, Manager of Communications for the Town of Strathmore says, “The Lions Splash Park is a real focal point at Kinsmen Park. Our team is working to make sure it's all set to open for June 1st and potentially earlier if the weather allows.”

“There are currently no COVID restrictions from the province, so we're planning for the park to be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day from June 1st to September 1st," said Person.

Keep your fingers crossed, the town’s Operations Team are hard at work as they try to get it ready in time for June 1st. If we’re lucky we may see it open ahead of schedule.

Also of note, the parking lot nearby should also be complete by the end of June. With the lot expected to be open in time for Canada Day.
