This coming Saturday there will be athletes from all over coming to compete in Platinum Racing's Tri Diva and Tri Smore Triathlon. There will be swimming, running and biking taking place that day. Here is what you need to know about the road closures.

Brent Blvd, east from Hwy 817 (Wheatland Trail) to the west entrance of the Aquatic/Civic Centre and Thomas Drive, south from Brent Blvd to Brentwood Drive W. will be closed from 7:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M for the athletes that are participating.

On the Town of Strathmore's Facebook page, it says that race organizers will do their best to minimize the disruptions, but there are still a few things to keep in mind:

  • The Aquatic Centre will be closed for the day to accommodate the swimming portion of the events.
  • Noise may come from the high school/Aquatic Centre area as racers prepare to start.
  • Keep an eye out for bikers and runners so everyone can participate safely.
  • Road, lane and pathway closures should be expected along the race routes. Give yourself extra time to travel.
