The Wheatland Kings were host to the Okotoks Bisons who they have played three times this season and have not had a win against them yet, but they were looking to change this on Sunday, December 8.

In the first period, there were three penalties handed out with two going to Kings players Chase Clayton and Nathan Waiboer who both received tripping penalties, The Kings were able to hold off the Bisons during the first penalty kill but gave up a goal on the second, and closing out the first period they were down 2-0 to the Bisons. 

At the start of the second period, the Kings came out fast looking for their first goal of the game, the Bisons struck first early in the second and by the end of the second period were up 6-0 over the Kings.  

The Kings headed back out with determination in the third period but were ultimately defeated with a final score of 6-0.  Kings goalie Landen Brassard faced 47 shots, while the kings managed 27 shots on the Bisons.

The Kings will play back to back home games this weekend.  On Saturday, December 14 they will take on the Lomond Lakers, puck drops at 8 pm, and on Sunday they will play against the Airdrie Techmation Thunder, puck drops at 4:45 pm.
